What: AL!VE is "Your Community Well-Being Place." It offers an integrated array of health and well-being experiences and services to serve the mid-Michigan community.
Where: AL!VE is located approximately 20 minutes southwest of the state capitol in Lansing at 800 W. Lawrence Ave. in Charlotte, MI. It is one mile west of the heart of Charlotte.
When: The first phase of AL!VE opened in November 2011. The second phase included an expansion extending the walking path, and adding MOVE, a wellness center, GROW, a children's recreational and development area, and GATHER, a dedicated conference space, which opened in December 2012.
Who: AL!VE is open to everyone – it is truly a community facility. There are no entry fees or membership requirements. There are many free activities available, as well as fee-based classes and membership opportunities in MOVE, the fitness center, and GROW, the recreation area for children ages three months to 12 years.
Why: AL!VE is an experience-based, destination health park that offers something for everyone. Each area of flexible space can be used for clinical, social or educational purposes. Its goal is to help improve the overall quality of life in the Greater Charlotte and Lansing areas.
