In December, the most recent expansion at AL!VE opened providing additional programming and services, including both clinical and recreational options for the mid-Michigan community.
As AL!VE kicks off its winter programming, it is hosting a community open house to showcase its facility expansion, offer discounts on program registrations and celebrate the grand re-opening of NOURISH by The Big Salad.
Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce construction begins this week on its health park, AL!VE. An expansion will accommodate the growth of the hospital’s cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services, which will move from the hospital’s main campus to AL!VE in 2017.
Wesley is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Western Michigan University.
He has a passion for coaching athletes of all ages in his hometown of Haslett. And Wes is active in Lansing-area sports leagues.
Tour MOVE during open house Sunday, Jan. 25
AL!VE announces a 1,500-square-foot expansion of MOVE, its fitness center. The mid-Michigan community is invited to tour MOVE and the expansion at an open house from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25.
AL!VE is pleased to welcome back the Fitness Initiative Targeting Kids program. This after-school program teaches junior high and middle school students how to have fun and be safe while being more physically active and eating healthier foods. The eight-week program is 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., each Tuesday, beginning Jan. 20. A final registration date is set for 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30.
MOVE, the fitness center at AL!VE, welcomes CrossFit Fade to its wide-ranging list of fitness programs offered. Led by certified kettle bell trainer Eric McGill, CrossFit is intended for all ages and fitness levels.
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program with the goal of helping improve cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFit optimizes fitness through varied functional movements performed at a relatively high intensity, McGill said.

AL!VE, the experience-based, destination health park in Charlotte, Mich., has expanded its facilities, programming and hours; increasing the services and experiences offered to the mid-Michigan community.
The 20,000-square-foot expansion opened Monday, Dec. 10 and it took approximately 10 months to complete. Construction began in March 2012 and 90 percent was completed using vendors and labor within a 50 mile radius of AL!VE.
