MOVE Re-Opening Information

We want to remind everyone that all of our active, monthly MOVE members billing has resumed and all paid-in-full members will have the shut-down time (March 16 – September 8) added to their end-date. If you are not ready to come back yet, just let us know by calling (517) 543-9575 and we will be happy to put you onto a no-fee freeze until the end of the year. For those of you that are ready to resume working out in MOVE, here is some information about what you can expect.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Friday: 5:30 am-8:00 pm
- Saturday: 7:00 am-3:00 pm
- Sunday: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Per the executive order, there are regulations in place that we will need to abide by:
Screening: Everyone entering the building will be screened for COVID symptoms, including a temperature check. Individuals that do not pass the screening will not be permitted in the building, so please stay home if you feel ill, are displaying any symptoms or have come in contact with someone who has COVID.
25% Capacity: We are required to limit the number of individuals in the facility to 25% of our capacity. The indoor walking path (EXPLORE) as well sa indoor recreation activities including basketball and volleyball will not be available.

Masks: Masks must be worn at all times in the facility except when showering or eating at NOURISH by The Big Salad. Please be mindful of your exercise intensity, as masks can make it more difficult to breathe and you may need to take breaks to stay safe.
Physical distancing: All MOVE Members will need to remain twelve feet or greater away from others (effective Wed. November 18, per MDHHS orders, upped from 6') that are not from the same household. Some pieces of equipment have been removed to space out all stationary equipment; because of this, time limits may be enforced to allow all individuals the ability to use the equipment.
Sanitation: Staff will be deep cleaning throughout the day, but we ask that members continue to wipe down their equipment after use using the sanitation wipes provided.
Locker rooms (INDULGE): Will be available but masks and six foot distancing will be required. Sanitation wipes will be provided in the locker rooms and we ask that members wipe down lockers after use.
- Showers: will be sanitized by staff throughout the day but members are encouraged to wipe down handles and touchpoints after use.
- Saunas: will not be available at this time.
GROW (children's enrichment area): GROW is temporarily unavailable. Monthly GROW memberships will not be activated and we hope to resume 75-minute time slots available at designated times for $2 per child and $1 for each additional child from the same household.
Towels: Towel service will not be available at this time, so MOVE members are encouraged to bring their own.
Water: Drinking fountains and water dispensers have been temporarily disabled for the purpose of infection control. We invite members to ensure their personal water bottles are filled prior to coming to AL!VE. Bottled water will be available for purchase in MOVE and NOURISH by The Big Salad.
A COVID Code of Conduct will be sent out separately detailing member expectations during this time. All MOVE members are expected to sign and return the document before using the facility.
