The event is inspired by Charlotte’s Natalie Freiburger who passed away in 2008 after a battle with ovarian cancer. All proceeds go toward the Power of One fund, a generosity initiative that provides initial financing and ongoing funding for community generosity endeavors.

In September 2015, HGB began offering LSVT BIG therapy services to treat individuals with movement problems related to Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders. Those services have now further been expanded to include LSVT LOUD, a voice and speech treatment specifically developed for Parkinson’s patients.

The free health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 18, features family-oriented activities including golf, dodge ball and cross fit competitions; healthy living information and screenings; physician conversations; children’s activities and a summer cookout.
